New: Princeton Catalyst Brushes, Blades and Wedges

July 27th, 2012 by Jim Winstead

Catalyst by Princeton is a new line of creative tools for artists. For a limited time, all of the new Catalyst products are 50% off at the store and online.

Catalyst Polytip Bristle Brushes are a breakthrough that advances the science of synthetic hair. These innovative synthetic bristle brushes have individual hairs that have been split to replicate the natural flags on the finest natural brush. Each hair has two to three distinct tips, allowing the brush to hold a higher volume of paint while providing a smoother application. These brush heads are stiff but responsive, and unlike natural hog bristles, have real integrity in water.

Designed for use with medium to heavy-bodied acrylics and oil paints, Catalyst pushes even heavy gel mediums with assurance.

Not quite a brush and not quite a palette knife, Catalyst Blades and Wedges are crafted from flexible silicone to allow artists a new form of expression. The wedges are ergonomically designed to fit in your hand, allowing a direct interaction with your work. And the blades are mounted on artist brush handles offering a blend of tradition and innovation.

Designed for use with heavy-bodied paints, Catalyst Blades and Wedges are at home with oils, acrylics, and water-miscible oils. Because they are heat-resistant, they excel with encaustics. Artists are using them with plaster, clay, and even frosting. Made of FDA-approved silicone, Catalyst Blades and Wedges are great for food crafting.

Clean-up is a breeze with Catalyst Blades and Wedges. The silicone is easy to wipe clean and is solvent resistant. Clean up in most cases can be done with mild soap and water. Dried paint can be peeled off the silicone surface. Catalyst blades can even be separated from their wood handles for cleaning and easily replaced when dry.

All of the Catalyst Brushes, Blades, and Wedges are 50% off for a limited time.
