You might have heard this spot during KCRW‘s latest pledge drive. Matt Holzman, the host of Matt’s Movies, came by the store to record it and highlight what we offer to KCRW members as part of the Fringe Benefits program.

We have some special hours and days off during this holiday season:

• On Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11, as well as Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18, we will be open until 9pm.
• We will close at 5pm on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24.
• We will be closed on December 25, 26, and 27.
• We will be closed on December 31, January 1, and January 2.

We will resume our regular hours on Monday, January 3. Have a happy holidays!

We now offer 1½ hours of free parking in the garage at 415 South Main Street (across Main Street, the entrance is just past Winston Street) with any purchase. Just bring in your parking slip for validation.

Validation is not available on the second Thursday of every month (otherwise known as during the Downtown Art Walk, when parking rates in the area increase dramatically).

Yeah, it’s an odd category for us to be in. They say it’s an honor just to be nominated. You can vote for us through June 2.

The papers we have out so you can test markers, pens, pastels, and all manner of other things become sort of collaborative art pieces, as you can see. (And click on any of those pictures to make them bigger.)

We’ve expanded our store hours. Our new hours are:
Monday-Friday 10am – 7pm; Saturday 11am – 5pm

As one of the sponsors of the Downtown Art Walk, we will be open until 9:30pm every second Thursday of the month to accommodate downtown art walkers. We’ve started implementing some of our sale pricing in advance of this Thursday’s Art Walk – Strathmore pads are 20% off! Also, you asked for it and now we have it – books and magazines are in! We have Artforum, Modern Painters, Art in America, Wallpaper, and more.

We are still setting up shelves and awaiting delivery of more inventory from our distributors, but we’ve had lots of new stuff come in the past few weeks. The store is filling up nicely as we gear up for our Big Grand Opening in November, but more on that later. If you haven’t been in lately, stop by, check out our progress, and give us your feedback (or just say hello).

Starting on Tuesday, September 2, we are going to start keeping regular hours. They will be from 10am-7pm on Monday-Friday, and 11am-5pm on Saturday.
