Special Orders
We work with a growing number of art and architectural supply distributors and manufacturers. We place orders with our distributors on Saturday, and receive most products by the following Wednesday.
This means that if there is anything you need that we don’t have in stock, we can often add it to our next regular order, and it will be in the store by the end of the next week. There is no charge for this service, but we may ask you to pre-pay or leave a deposit depending on the items you want ordered. For large or heavy items, we can also have them shipped directly to your door.
We don’t (yet) have a dedicated website with all of the products and our pricing, but our distributors have websites with the manufacturer’s standard retail pricing (which we try to discount as much as we can get away with!). Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our pricing for specific products.
- MacPherson’s is our largest distributor, and carries a wide range of art supplies. Their warehouse is in Reno, Nevada, so our orders generally arrive the week they are placed.
- C2F also carries a range of art supplies, including Bee Paper Co. products. Their warehouse is in Beaverton, Oregon, and orders generally arrive the week after they have been placed.
- SLS Arts is another source for general art supplies. Their warehouse is in Las Vegas, and orders generally arrive the week they are placed.
- Alvin & Co. is our main distributor for architectural supplies, including their exclusive lines of furniture, drafting supplies, and portfolios. Their warehouses are in Hartford, Connecticut and Dallas, Texas, so orders can take up to two weeks to reach us.
- Small manufacturers and distributors: We are continually growing the network of smaller distributors and manufacturers from which we can source products. Some are local and some are on other continents, so the time it will take us to fill orders can vary greatly.
