Lascaux Artists’ Acrylics are quite simply the premier professional artists’ quality acrylic paints. These have an exceptional pigment load, texture and feel normally reserved for oil paints. All colors dry to a uniformly matte satin-sheen. They have a smooth, rich and buttery feel and are never sticky. The Artists’ Acrylics are archival, extraordinarily lightfast and resistant to aging, suitable for exterior use and compatible with all Lascaux painting system colors and mediums. The colors do not oxidize, shrink, yellow or crack. The tubes’ hand-painted labels accurately show paint color.

These fluid mediums increase the transparency of the colors while enhancing adhesion of strongly diluted colors. They can be used alone or with acrylic colors to impart gloss, satin or matte sheen, and dry to a waterproof film that is flexible, colorless and non-yellowing. They are ideal for glazing, increasing transparency, extending paint, color blending, thinning and collaging, or even as a sealer and ground.

Conservator-grade sizing for canvas, wood and other supports. Made from a pure acrylic emulsion modified with special protective agents and biocides, which make it elastic, resistant to aging and pH balanced. Because it is impervious to moisture, it combats support expansion and contraction due to humidity changes.

This conservator-quality acrylic sealer is clear, non-yellowing, resistant to aging and non-matte. It is suitable for fixing drawings in pastel, pencil, charcoal, wax crayons, ink, gouache and watercolor. Makes photos, prints, lithographs, proofs, lettering, and gold leaf all scratch resistant. It is also a good initial sizing coat on rigid supports such as wood panels. It can fix, seal and protect almost anything, and prepare just about any surface for painting or drawing.
