The architectural scale is divided in gradations of: 3, 1-1/2, 3/4, 3/8, 3/16, 3/32, 1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 inches to the foot and a scale divided 16 parts to the inch.
The engineering scales are fully divided with gradations of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 decimal parts to the inch.
