They have screw on lids that keep messy shavings enclosed in attractive, heavy-duty plastic barrels. The single-holed sharpener works well for lead pencils, while the double-holed sharpener has both small and large holes that can be used for both lead and colored pencils. The double-holed sharpener also has an extra large barrel for holding high volumes of pencil shavings.
