This wax medium has a higher content of Dammar resin than the original Wax Snaps Wax Medium, giving it a thicker consistency when liquefied. It also has a sticky tack while drying for easy texture build up and will stay pliable for longer. Once cooled, it is resistant to surface alterations as a result from scraping or incising and functions similar to a hard film. It is a versatile medium that can be used as a basecoat, a wax paint extender for glazing and is especially useful as a topcoat to produce a glass-like surface.
