These sketch books feature high performance paper that is pH neutral, lignin- and chloride-free and milled from pulp with an alpha cellulose content that exceeds 87%. The heavy-weight 180 lb. (270gsm) paper has a smooth white surface that is suitable for all dry media and ink. With both internal and surface sizing, it will accept light washes, wet media and watercolor as well.
The covers for the hard-cover and wire-bound editions are made with extra heavy-weight binders' board that is super tough and resistant to warpage. The flexible, yet rugged soft covers have soft-bound sewn bindings and rounded edges to prevent fraying.
