Soldate Throwing Clay is gray in the raw form with a high sand content, which makes it an ideal choice for large thrown pieces and sculptural forms. It can be fired at Cone 10 to yield a yellow-brown color under medium reduction. It is made using 60 mesh sand and has a medium coarse texture. Clays available in increments of two are priced by the 25 lb. bag, but shipped in a two-bag, 50 lb. box.
